Cheapskate

I went shopping today, and it finally occurred to me what really annoys me about "fashion". It's not really that I'm cheap (although I certainly am, at least by LA standards. I got yelled at Thursday for keeping the same plastic water bottle for two years. It's not like it's disposable or something. It's still in great shape. Why on earth would I get another one? Geesh. I've also been scolded for buying a car that's less than "glamorous". Please take note that this picture is not of my car. Mine is much sexier, with a disco ball hanging from the rearview mirror.) I just hate the thought of buying something I like and then not being able to wear it six months later because I'll look dumb. Maybe I just get too attached to my clothes. Or maybe I'm just making excuses because I couldn't be fashionable if I tried. :)

I personally prefer the notion of having "classic" taste, a sense of what will outlast mere fashion.

I was dressing like a hippie long before it became fashionable...

Actually, Vic, that's impossible - it was fashionable long before you were born :)

Fashionable the second time around...

Peace, Terri. :)
